Designed by StudioAC, Generation House is a bold reimagining of what a multi-generational home can be—one that balances history, adaptability, and human connection. With natural light as a defining material, adaptable walls that shift with the needs of its residents, and an architectural approach rooted in daily rituals, Generation House offers a vision for modern living that is both deeply personal and built to last.

Generation House embraces adaptive reuse, merging the church’s historic bones with a modern, livable interior. A restrained palette highlights the beauty of preserved materials and innovative spatial planning.

Creating space for two families meant designing for fluidity—adaptable layouts shift as needed, keeping privacy intact while preserving shared moments. Courtyards bridge the generations.

kuultip: Multi-generational living thrives when the balance between connection and independence is discussed early on.

"Architecture is a way of seeing the world. Everyday interactions keep me curious and inspired."

A hallmark of Generation House is its dynamic use of light, acting as a defining material, with skylights and courtyards channeling natural illumination into every space. A muted palette amplifies its impact, creating a serene, evolving interior.

kuultip: kuultip: Great design leverages light as both a functional and emotional tool.

Personal histories shape the way Generation House unfolds. A tree-lined bath nods to a grandmother’s favorite ritual. “In her previous home she loved hearing the breeze through a tree while bathing, so we recreated that in this urban setting,” explains Andrew.

kuultip: Designing for human rituals creates spaces that feel deeply personal and profoundly livable.

"The tree atrium becomes this moment of surprise that you re-experience each time when you return to the master bath."

Built with the future in mind, Generation House can transition to two separate residences if needed. The home’s shared and private spaces can shift as needs change.

kuultip: Future-proofing a home means designing for both present and potential needs.
